General Information
Automation List is an online directory of industrial automation companies. This policy describes how we handle personal data in connection with the site.
Access Data / Server Logs
When you access this website, our hosting and CDN providers process technical access data (including IP address, time, and browser information) to operate and secure the site. We store server-side request logs in our database for a limited period. Those logs include the requested path, response status, time, a truncated browser user-agent string (up to 512 characters), an approximate country code when the request is served through Cloudflare, and classifications of the client type (for example browser, search crawler, or AI agent). We do not store IP addresses in these logs.
Directory profile analytics
Independently of server logs, when JavaScript runs in your browser on a vendor profile page
we record first-party events (profile views and outbound clicks) so we can measure listing
interest. These events include the vendor profile, a temporary session identifier stored in
your browser’s localStorage (key al_ve_sid: a random id that is reused while you
remain active and replaced after 30 minutes of inactivity), the page path, an approximate
country code, the referrer, and a truncated user-agent string. They do not include your IP
address. We also keep a short-lived per-tab flag in sessionStorage so the same profile view
or outbound click is not sent twice in one tab; that flag is not transmitted to the server.
Automated clients that do not run JavaScript are not counted in these events; they may still
appear in the server-side request logs described above.
Supabase (Authentication & Cookies)
This website uses Supabase as an authentication provider. Cookies are used to maintain login sessions and are technically required for the authentication functionality to work properly.
No advertising cookies are used via Supabase. The cookies are used solely for authentication purposes.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics for basic website analytics. Google Analytics is only loaded after you give explicit consent. You can reject analytics cookies and continue using the site without limitation.
This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics. IP anonymization is enabled, which means your IP address is shortened before being processed. Data collected by Google Analytics may be processed in the USA.
Directory / Vendor Data
This directory lists publicly available company information. No personal data is intentionally collected or stored for directory listings.
Companies listed in the directory may request correction or removal of their information by contacting us via email at [email protected].
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We recommend checking this page periodically for any changes.
