About This Directory
Automation-List is an independent, vendor-neutral directory of industrial automation companies worldwide.
Automation-List is an independent, vendor-neutral directory of industrial automation companies worldwide. It was created by a practising automation engineer with over 15 years of hands-on experience in MES, SCADA, and PLC-based control systems - primarily in regulated food manufacturing environments.
The idea came from a simple frustration: finding the right automation partner globally is harder than it should be. Trade fair brochures go stale. Google results are dominated by paid listings and SEO agencies. Word-of-mouth only reaches so far. And generic business directories don't understand the difference between a system integrator and a panel builder.
This directory is built differently:
- • Editorially independent. Listings are reviewed against the same quality criteria regardless of size or status. Featured placements may be offered in the future - they will always be clearly labelled.
- • Engineer-built. The category taxonomy, technology mapping, and vendor profiles are structured by someone who has actually commissioned plants, debugged PLC code at 2 AM, and sat through MES vendor demos.
- • Global reach. Country-level coverage with an understanding of regional strengths - from Switzerland's precision manufacturing heritage to Germany's deep SCADA ecosystem and the Nordics' leadership in robotics and digitalisation, and the US as the world's largest automation market.
- • Bilingual. Full English and German versions, because the DACH market deserves more than machine-translated content.
All listings are manually reviewed before going live. Vendor descriptions are based on publicly available information and are written to be factual, not promotional. If something is inaccurate, we fix it.
This is a living project. New vendors, categories, and features are added continuously. If your company belongs here and isn't listed yet, submit your listing for free.
